@Quiet - I really like the "Tree Corpses" shot

Good to see a straight up shot - lying down(?).

I've only ever used Minolta 16/2.8 back in my KM7D days (so FX lens on APS) - I enjoyed using it a lot. I tried a Panasonic 8mm fish (native m43) in a shop once and found it to be a totally different thing. These were both rectangular fish and not circular.

Have always wanted to see a view of the sky (blue sky with fluffy clouds) from the top of a hill looking straight up (not land in the image) ... after all, fisheye were originally designed to photograph the sky.

It has 190 degree view, so I can stand up and hold it as high as possible and still get the ground all around. I will note that Sony's electronic level is useless for alignment straight up or down.

It is really nice for night sky. It captures the entire sky. I took it to a dark sky area at Sleeping Bear dunes a few years ago, with a tripod. And I discovered later that I had captured the Aurora that I hadn't even seen at all when I was there.

Are those fisheye photos showing absolutely as much of the edge of the circle as possible? I realize you are cropping one edge to make them square. But does the image really get that close to the other borders of the frame?

I'm guessing the white rings on a couple (outside of the circle) are light bouncing inside the camera baffle and leaking outside the circle?

cool, so these are captured on APS then?
have you ever (probably not in this thread, sorry, ambush) used it in full-frame mode?
Am imagining a bit more flexibility for grabbing the full-circle (though would likely only be for A7 R high res shooters).
Do you ever find that the image circle is too close to the edge of APS frame?

These photos are jpegs straight from the camera. Automatic corrections are on in the camera.
I didn't straighten anything in the post-process. This time I managed to keep the camera straight at eye level.
With such a wide angle, I like to find something at the bottom of the frame. Then it looks better than a huge pavement or asphalt on the street :)
