With a potential 20 lenses in 4 focal lengths (lobbing 1 inch and 25 mm on the same heap) this week I have to make decisions.

Not in the mood to be ambitious this week:
Minolta MD VFC Rokkor 24mm 1:2.8 to stick with the manual 24s.
Taylor, Taylor & Hobson Cooke Kinic 1 Inch f/1.5 to go all out swirly.
Minolta MC W.Rokkor 1:2 28mm is an obvious choice for me.
Meyer-Optik Görlitz 1Q Orestegon 2,8/29 is my only 29.

Yes Paul, today we started week 4 and I'm in slightly better shape (depending on your point of view of course ) with only 8 lenses in this week's range from 23 to 29 mm (not counting zoom ends, because I promised myself not to use zoom ends in weeks that have one or more primes )

It's 2 24's, 5 28's and a 29. I'll try to use at least both 24's and the 29. Add to that as many of the 28's that I can manage. It will all depend of my free time for photography lining up with the right weather and light.

First of my 28s, another work trip through Grand Central Terminal
Minolta M-mount 28/2.8 a7c

Surprisingly little distortion for a tiny lens. Mine has lots of the white spot disease; the spots are small so it doesn't seem to affect resolution, I do see dust bunny spots at f16, the veiling haze with direct light on the front element is severe.

most f5.6 I think? the first two are 3-shot HDR

28M1-1 to 45th St

28M1-2 cell phone picture a little off center

28M1-3 Rushing to the Train

1/2sec

28M1-4 Logging in on the train

1/30sec

28M1-5 4 seconds in Grand Central

f16 4sec

@ mariuszlo, nice capture of the Blue Note, the walking lady brings added dynamics to the shot

@ darosa, nice play of lines, light and shadows in "Waiting for marching orders", but I guess you have to yell pretty loud to make them take a step

@ 4paul, nice reportage, the B&W shot of the escalator to 45th street has very nice tones and the photo's with of motion blur came out quite well.

@Hezu, similar uninteresting weather and light here, but then also no snow

Last weekend a small bridge across the anti-tank canal around Antwerp collapsed, so despite the grey weather still went out to take a few photo's this monday.

24-1: Warning signs and fences in place to avoid anybody falling in

24-2: Looking from the other side

24-3: What a mess

24-4: But if you want to cross the canal anyway there's a boat hidden in the bushes along the shore

All A7Rii + LA-EA4 + Min 24/2.8 RS

I'll continue this reportage with a 28 mm lens once I have time to process the photos.

Miserable weather, busy with work, very little evening light.

25.1: Hydrant

Camera Model: ILCE-6100
Lens: Taylor, Taylor & Hobson Cooke Kinic 1 Inch f/1.5 (C-mount)
Aperture: f/1.5
Exposure Time: 0.013 sec (1/80)
ISO: 100

Fair amount of field curvature going on here. The edge of the image front focusses and increases DOF in this particular subject. Minolta made Rokkors with an adjustment for this, Minolta MD VFC Rokkor 24mm 1:2.8 and Minolta Shift CA 35mm 1:2.8, where the field of focus can be adjusted to be convex or concave. I will feature both in this challenge!
