Here's my failed lone tree project. . . .
I kinda like it anyway, which is why I'm posting it, but every time I look at the picture I can't help but want to move the shadow to the left and the window to the right and though that's maybe possible with some hardcore PPing, I think that would require skills I've yet to acquire. ![]() |

wross, nice conversion. Might have been even more lonely by making the crop more square (broader/less tall with the same island/tree size).
svjetlana, I like your fist one. The crooked tree contrasts nicely with the straight lantern and the high key conversion is very appropriate. Second one has weird colors, but somehow still works well for me. Composition is rule of thirds by the book, which really helps the picture stand. kleptolux, a very nice picture and the conversion is spot on in my mind. You've understood the zone system very well ![]() One minor knit. If you would have cropped a tiny bit higher (and maybe a sliver from the bottom to keep the same aspect ratio) since then the white cloud left/top wouldn't have touched the border. Maybe I also would have cloned out the bird in there (first I thought my monitor had a piece of gunk on it, but it moved when scrolling ![]() |

I've posted these pictures under "T is for..." not realizing that this is better place for the trees. Sorry.

An outtake from the Lone Tree DPC. There was a wee bit too much PP involved in this one to be a valid DPC entry.
