Not sure this is the right sort of hugging - isn't ivy bad for trees? Good for photographs though...
I've taken so many pics of this tree (and posted it here before), but here it is again to mark my obsession with it! As you can see from this side-shot, this tree has had a hard life and badly needs hugging... |

One of my favourite Australian trees - the Jacaranda. We have quite a few lining the streets in Perth. They look great in spring/summer when in flower:
and here is a close up of the flower clusters: Cheers, Frank |

Sorry to post so many, but I like trees as a subject ! (Mostly) all old film scans (Minolta cameras & lenses), but a couple 7D shots in the mix:
Tree with a view: Tree with no view: Twisted trunk: Tree top: Tree with a bad real estate agent: Fast tree: Tree coming out of darkness: Cigar-smoking tree: ... more to follow ... |

... and here are the rest ...
Trees in the mist: Which tree is which ?: Tree fighting to get free: Trees in fall: Tree that doesn't know how to get dressed: (and just for fun, the rock that taught him:) Trees looking in the mirror: Trees of all kinds: Trees just waking up: |
