Huh? But you hadn't had any by then ;) That was in the beginning part of the day when we were still all nice and fresh and raring to go... ;)
Thank you Bob for organising it all. We followed your advice and popped over to shooters hill, only to find most obscured by trees, alas. But worth noting for another time when I have a larger, ahem, tripod with me ;) Dartford was equally interesting as we didn't get that shot but found someone had left a gas cooker on... (!!). Just got in 5 minutes ago. Uploading piccies to PC before, erm, collapsing somewhere. Unfortunately most of the caffeine on the way has finally filtered down and I feel more awake. Drat. Ahh well. Both Matthew and myself really enjoyed ourselves, for meeting new people and having a lovely day out in Greenwich with The Dyxum Group ;) We'll have to do it again sometime.... Perhaps you can come up here next time ;) |

It was good to meet some new people and catch up with some now familiar faces. Thanks again to Bob for organizing this.
I haven't had time to really go through all my shots from the day yet, but here's one I particularly like. |

This is a nice shot, great depth of field. I can really see - comparing my shot - what those extra 100mm do for you! That and being much closer to the subject than I was. Thanks everyone, I had an excellent day shooting and meeting you all. Thanks to Bob and I hope to see you all again! Matt |

So where does the Squirrell Competition go then ;)
Police 'eye in the sky' Aerospatiale Ecureuil http://aviation.photos.fotopic.net/p12964066.html For a ground decent quality image (Pre Police I think). Guess I'll have to have a play with Photoshop to sort the dust out... He's not hiding behind a tree, honest ;) The Walk to Water.... |

Finally got home [from Stans] about an hour ago - first port-of-call after firing up the PC is this thread...
...many thanks to Bob for organising the day - wonderful locations, really enjoyable, and at least we could feel our fingers & toes by the end this time! Great to see increasingly-familiar and new faces, & looking forward to future meets... ...now to sit down and offload/process the photos! Cheers IDM |

First few from me - of the Naval College & nearby buildings...KM5D+Kitlens:
B&W Conversion, converging-vertical & sharpening in HeliconFilter. Also, many thanks to Craig for the loan of the [ex-dCap] 16mm F/E - having compared it to the results from my 0.4x semi-fisheye afocal converter on the 35-70/4, I've decided the difference in the results don't really justify my spending on one, so the money'll probably go [eventually] on the Sigma 10-20 instead... Couple more...KM5D:
35-70/4 [ex-Catlady - thanks, Pat] + Fisheye converter - yes, it's soft edge/corner, but as it only cost a few quid 25yrs ago vs about L450 [cheapest I've found the Min16/2.8] I think it'll do for occasional use: [Some flare-diamonds cloned out in Helicon] Annoyingly, I can't remember if this is the Kit, or 35-70: Lots of flower shots taken with the 35-70 in 'Macro' mode, but I'll leave those for another thread, maybe... Cheers IDM |
