We got together this morning at 8:00 am and didn't stop till 3:00 pm. The reason was simple, cwtbone didn't know Boston from a hole in his head. That being said, cwtbone, his wife the loverly Mrs. Tbone and thier kiddies, Hambone and Marrow, flew to Boston and kekafloyd, rovhazman, my son LECHER the Little (14 years old, 6'3", 215 pounds, and my self went to meet them and take them out for a shoot. We had a great time playing with each other's toys.
Hope you like the shots.

ctwbone

his loverly wife and child

Who took this one of me?

LECHER the Little

kekafloyd

rovhazman

and the cheering section

now for the rest of the 314 pics. well maybe the rest ofthe 20...

So there ya go. The first shots of the Meet. More to follow.

Thanks for your patience.
Jack

Nice shots, Jack. Interesting bokeh on the 400mm lens (really looks nice in the second pic of cwtbone). I can get a good sense of the group you had there, from these shots.

Might crop the top off that last one, there's some empty "negative" space above her head.

(open views instead of open talk, maybe?)

I think I like it here, simply because you can tell me where to crop. Thanks for that, BTW. We did have a fun time.

Hi Jack. Thanks for the great fun and the great pictures. I am still working on my pictures (you know, my friend is visiting so I had to go out for few beers. Life is not easy... ).

I'll try to post my pictures by tomorrow.

PS - I just ordered Minolta 11-18mm that I found here...

Great shots guys. Thanks for the hospitality and thanks for the birthday present Jack. Even the nonshooters had a great time. If you guys get down south sometime we can do New Orleans and Natchez, Ms. Let's stay in touch. Charlie

Looks like a good meet guys!

Hope you don't mind but I've moved the post to themed and changed the title a little to mark it out as a meeting - I will also add it to the index...

OK, I'm a little late on this one. ;)

A beautiful clear sky, and freshly blooming cherry blossoms kicks off the day.

The birthday boy ctwbone enjoying a very familiar lens.

Shay looking wistfully at... something

Lots of these guys around. They make great fodder for sharing lenses!

My first try with Shay's 300mm f/2.8. Quite the beauty of a lens!

The CZ 24-70 changed a lot of hands that day.

These squirrels were transporting something from tree to tree. Great practice for long lens technique!

Life as we know it on the common...

Jack is a card. ;)

Solid entertainment. I wanted them to play some Tull, but they declined.

Say hello to our little friend...

Mime time!

And that's it from me. A great time was had by all. Let's do it again! ;)
