Wish I could have been there.

I live in Aalborg most of the year, in fact the old shipyard? is on my view from my kitchens window, so I have taken my fair amount of pictures from there.

Lakrids, yep we went through Aalborg yesterday for a short stopover. Could have been fun to meet you. Next days it will be around Horsens/Vejle/Juelsminde/Esbjerg/Ribe...depending of the weather.

Tim, no, no Copenhagen this time, only the mainland.

Darosa, well you will have a hard time to find some good shots from Martin.....he only shoot nitty gritty stuff.
But here is a photo of Martin

And one of the great renowned photographers of the world in action

Great pictures Kenny and Martin. Seems you're visiting some very interesting places. Looking forward to see more from you and also look at these scenes through the eyes of Bob and Manfred.
You can see the April Foolishness 2023 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

I think Kenny was hoping we would compete for the honour, but I think we are feeling far too mellow after the excellent hospitality :-)

I feel we may have left people wondering why 'The Garmin conspiracy'... it turned out that we all use the aforementioned satnavs - which in Denmark sometimes sent us in unexpected directions... still we liked what we saw wherever we went...

Anyhow I finally got around to processing some shots up after sorting through what I took - Seeing new places and things to photograph is always good, but the company is the best aspect of any of these trips - so I'll start with a selection of shots of my fellow Dyxumers.

1. Kenny, our (excellent) host

(a700 * 100 Macro)

2. Martin in the pulpit

(a700 & Zenitar Fish)

3. Manfred in the roofspace (we had rather extensive access to one of the churches)

(a700 & Zenitar fish)

4. Kenny contemplates the Church's ship (all Danish churches seem to have one or more)

(a700 & Zenitar fish)

5. Martin in a derelict factory

(NEX 7 & 18-55 SAM)

6. Kenny in the derelict factory

(NEX 7 & Zenitar fish)

7. Kenny and Martin atop a lighthouse (I don't think Martin was at all sure out having a portrait taken with a fish-eye).

(NEX 7 & Zenitar fish)

8. Manfred, Kenny and Martin in the organ loft

(NEX 7 & Sigma 19)

9. Erika and Manfred

(NEX 7 & Sigma 19)

10. Martin in sunlight

(Nex 7 & Zeiss 24)
