Breathtaking trip. Breathtaking adventure. Breathtaking pictures. Thanks to all three of you for this "documentary".
Can't wait for more pictures. |

Time to share my first Quiraing series. I hope they're different enough from the nice series Fred and Domien posted but it was so nice there that I couldn't restrain myself in the selection what to show here
Quiraing part 1 p61: Lots of water coming down from the mountain p62: The only other person we saw on "the other side" of the Quiraing towards Bioda Buidhe, a Fuji 6x9 film photographer. p63: Looking back at the other side from about where the photographer in P62 was standing p64: The hill of Cleat p65: Another look at the ridge and the road to the car park p66: A wider view with the sea beteen Skye en Scotland mainland in the background p67: A view towards Staffin All A7ii + Tamron 28-200 Di III RXD |

Thanks Mestari, glad you're enjoying our trip, and b.t.w. I'm also enjoying your 2011 NZ photo series a lot as well.
The Quiraing part 2 p68: Slowly walking up and enjoying the view forward p69: Impressive rock formations p70: Looking forward towards the top of Bioda Buidhe p71: Looking over the ridge at the highest point p72: The light hitting the other side again p73: Impressive rock formations there as well p74: Goodbye Quiraing, looking back to the top we visited on this fantastic walk p68: A6000 + Sony E10-18/4 all others A7ii + Tamron 28-200 Di III RXD |

On P57: I like the 'face' looking over the ocean. I totally missed that view.
The Quiraing shots are beautiful. I already said I took too many shots there. But it was such a great sight. We were blessed with great light all day, but it culminated there. F45 F48 P63 P67 really show the details of this amazing landscape And P74 shows our walk-up well, It took us over an hour (one way) Edited by Dopol - 12 October 2023 at 11:31 |

p68 and P70 this time :) If I had to pick one, that would be 68. Great photos...
Thank you! That reminds me to put something up, Milford Track is waiting :) I will do it in one thread like you did here. |

The next day we had one shower. It lasted all day.
Luckily we were able to shoot between heavy rains and drizzle. We started in Portree, where we stayed. The Portree port, though colorful isn't very appealing during showers. But hey, we were there for photos. The rain makes the colours look very "fresh" Domien, there's no bad weather for photography, only insufficient protection of your equipment, but we were well prepared
Let me finish day 1 with our drive to Idrigil/Uig p75: Beautiful light play behind the pier p76: Fred and Domien in action p77: Rain in the distance is always better than rain where you're standing p78: The pier of Uig (which is actually in Idrigil) p79: Apparently a royal visit in these far away places is worthy of a memorial All A7ii + Tamron 28-200 Di III RXD This concludes our day 1 on the island, my day 2+ shots will have to wait until I'm back from my next trip the last week of oktober. But I'm sure Domien and Fred will keep you entertained with all the eye candy we saw the following days. |

p75 yes, but let's not forget about p77!
D44 is also worth mentioning for me :) Those droplets are unfortunate but what can you do with such weather... at least it saturates the images for free ;) |

Great series Pieter! I had a similar problem: choosing from so many nice pictures to post. Enjoy your next trip! |
