Actually i prefer the yellow chair one floor higher. The cormorant shot looks great and .. i actually like the shape of this ship, although it is so rounded purely for looks, as i don't think there will be a lot of gain in aerodynamic performance. |

The Wurlitzer certainly looks sharp Fred (F7) and the housing is not so attractive (F5 and F6), but it's a good start for our first intermediate travel goal.
The North hields f sh ma t seems busy but the cormorant parliament takes the cake. One more Newcastle port view: D4 Up to our next intermediate goal: Edinburgh Edited by Dopol - 05 October 2023 at 13:55 |

Indeed, aerodynamics are not all that important while moving at a little over 30 km/hour, hydrodynamics and the hull shape are probably much more important to reduce resistance. p11: Here's another detail from the MS City of Rotterdam, which seems to be registered in Panama Edited by pegelli - 04 October 2023 at 15:19 |

We drove to Edinburgh, more precisely to the Forth Bridge crossing the Firth of Forth. It consists of an impressive amount of iron and stone. It turned out though, that everybody in the neighborhood had decided to check the bridge themselves.
It took serious time to find a parking spot, but it's rewarding. D5 overview of all bridges A1 A6700 E 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS squeezed pano of 10 photos D6 and it's really large... a6700 E 70-350 Edited by Dopol - 04 October 2023 at 15:20 |

As Domien showed our next stop was North Queensferry to take a look at the Firth of Forth rail bridge, built by John Fowler and Benjamin Baker. It took from 1882 until 1890 to complete the bridge.
p12: The famous bridge as backdrop for an older type letterbox (specially shot for Phil and Howard ) p13: The bridge bokeh is still recognisable in the background of this crow (pls. correct me if this is a different bird) Both A7Rii + Sony FE 70-300 G |

Our first day at the Isle of Skye was windy, cloudy, and rainy.
However, there were small gaps in the clouds, where the light brightened small parts of the impressive landscape. I also like P4 despite the windmills, I am still not used to these objects in sea.
F5 is really nice as is F11. The shots of the Isle of Skye from Domien are very atmospheric |
