Great day, a bit wet.
Here's the big hero and organiser (grubeater) who brought "test" bodies from Sony Netherlands (an A500, A550 and A850) This is a jpg, almost straight from the cam (only levels and resized/sharpened) of the A550. Lens was 100/2.8 macro @ 2.8 Which raw converter can do A550 raws, LR2.5 doesn't do them yet (Much) more will follow hereunder later, from me as well as from the others! |

I like the fact that the man in the second row is barely in sight, but is looking at you. Nice compo an DOF. The shootingconditions were bad, but you made it work! Very well done! |

I had a great day
but hopefully next time in a little better condition After a short try with all my lenses I did fall-back on my beloved 24/2.8 but tried not to include the complete park in every picture . Here my pictures: 1: 2: 3: 4: 5: 6: 7: 8: 9: 10: 11: (Tonkia 70/210 at 70mm used) 12: 13: 14: 15: 16: (It seems to be a family problem... not checking iso settings :x) All pictures are shot in JPEG and some are adjusted on the black/white curves and all are resized. No other adjustments are made. |

Most pictures are straight from the camera, some a little crop, all resized.
1 "all aboard !" 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 "ZZzzZZzzZZzz..." 9 "Wake up!" 10 "The laundry" 11 12 13 "Who's there?" 14 "halfway the day" 15 "Who wanted to see steam engines?" 16 "That sounds fishy" 17 "spotted the ghost car" 18 a small part of the camera's and lenses. Interesting place the Openluchtmuseum, visited a few years ago when I and my family were op vacantie near Doorn.
Are the tram seats still super hard wooden? (only worse are older trams in Amsterdam IMO) |

My parents filled my head with enormous amounts of useless stuff like this) Yes I had some monks too concentrated singing and hands on a black habit always make a good subject |

here some of my pics in the "standard upload format". all are shot in RAW (ISO 200) with the a900/CZ24-70 combo, most of them with some amount of flash. images are processed in Lr 2.5 (exposure, white balance, adjustment of highlights and blacks where that seemed appropriate. after processing the RAW files were exported into jpegs with a long edge of 1000 px and a surrounding canvas added in Ps 4.

Good stuff sofar, I like everybodies different "take" on the same environment.
Here's some of the actors in the Museum, all very friendly and dedicated volunteers making it more than just a bunch of "old stuff" but really making it come alive: The farmers: A700 + 200/2.8HS A850 + 200/2.8HS Unfortunately my close-up of the farmer's lady did turn out all misfocussed, darn Sony The singing monks: A850 + 200/2.8HS A850 + 200/2.8HS The "scharensliep" (person who goes around the streets sharpening knives and scissors) A850 + 200/2.8 HS, 1/25th sec handheld, SSS on FF rocks! And the guys and gals who keep the trams running: A700 + 200/2.8HS A550 + 100/2.8 macro A850 + 200/2.8HS A850 + 200/2.8HS A850 + 200/2.8HS As you can see I remained quite faithful to my one-prime octoberfest challenge More to come ! |

somehow something in the last pic seems out of place - i don't think that at the time that the uniform was designed and those trams running that modern communication equipment was available :-)
therefore i like it the most from the series. |
