Thought Iwould start another thread with some additional images that contained something other than Puffins - though they do feature in the first part!
And, now, just for a change... In the middle of Skomer Island is a deserted farm House and outbuildings. These have been largely converted for overnight stays etc. but there are some lovely old walls still around with lots of interesting features: Thanks for looking and kind regards, Neil |

The clarity and colours in those puffin shots are excellent Neil!

Very impressed how close you got to them. Only time I saw a puffin it was on the water, all I got was a small blurry image.

Okay - just to take the thread a little further (and I promise - no more Puffins!):
A few shots of Razorbills - these nest so close the the rock face that the foreground ends up very 'messy': Finally, a really rare shot of a Dyxumer without a camera in hand or to the eye.... Thanks for loking and more soon..... Kind regards, Neil. |

Great images Bob - like the 'Reserved' one especially - wonder where that came from...
A few more images from the Skomer visit to add to the mix.... Thanks for looking and kind regards, Neil. |

Excellent stuff Neil. So many good shots, but I particularly like Puffins #2 and #7 (getting them against the sky or sea really works for me, and they're very nice poses too) and Razorbills #19 & 25. What great looking birds. Growing on the edge really appeals too. Lovely colours. Of course the Guillemots are nice too, especially Stretching.

@Bob: Is that a 70-400G in "lined up Dyxumers"? It's crazy long if it is!
Nice pics everyone, shame I couldn't be there. |
