The weather forecast does look quite rainy, but in the meantime my option for March 31 is taken by something else
![]() So I would suggest we go ahead anyway on the 17th and just plan more inside stuff during rain and walk around during the dry spells inbetween. How about starting between 11.00 and 12.00 in the Grand Café Brinkmann (Grote Markt 13) To reach Haarlem by train or to park see website Haarlem Parkinggarage Conjé in the North is the cheapest but a bit of a walk (15 min to centre). Other option is P+R or at the Ikea Spaarnwoude and take the train one stop. Other suggestions welcome of course ![]() |

Let's hope the forecast will improve a bit, it is still a week away and as they say: "The forecasters hall of fame is an empty building"
![]() For the previous Haarlem DM I used parking De Appelaar where you step right on to the Grote Markt. It is a bit more expensive though. Edited by Fred_S - 10 March 2019 at 11:51 |

I'll probably come by train. Haarlem Station is famous. The weather will be better than today I think and I managed to make some Day Primers, so no problem.

I am on holidays in Puglia (I suggest a Dyxum meet in any of the extremely photogenic towns here) and not in touch with the office, so I won't know business travel plans before Thursday. I'll let you know asap Pieter.

I'll be there. Looks like I have a convenient bus connection to Haarlem train station (better when fortifiers are required to fight the elements).

Stupid me, ordered an M42-NEX adapter instead of MD-NEX , so that is still underway but probably not in time for Sunday ![]() Packing will be done tomorrow. Do we have an Plan B for indoor shots? Forecast is still predicting some rain. Anyhow the church, maybe the Teyler museum (although I don't know if photopgraphy is allowed), or a short drive to the Cruquius museum (old pumping station on steam)? |

I will also have an MD adapter with me, and obviously you can also test your adapter with a M42 lens. I think you have plenty of those
![]() Other inside activity might be the railway station and the Cruquius museum is a good idea as well. But the forecasts are still mixed, Buienradar predicts mostly dry (even a little sun), Meteovista is less optimistic. The group is quite small, so we can be nimble and easily take the car somewhere to stay dry ![]() And I just checked the website, Teyler museum allows photography, as long as you don't use flash or tripod, so that's a viable option as well if we don't want to go out by car. |
