Parking in Maassluis is free and there is a larger parking lot about 5 min. walk from De Moriaan: Anne De Vriesstraat, but probably plenty other possibilities on sunday morning.

Ivo, if you want we can car pool like we did for the Haarlem meeting last year, it's about 1,5 hours (incl. 5 min walk in Maassluis). Let me know what you think about that

Next step will be planning what equipment to take, It's the last day of week 8, so nifty-fifties (or other lenses from 48 to 54 mm) are needed as a minimum. All the rest is optional

Sounds fine to me. I am totally unfamiliar in Maassluis. but will find the proposed location. If anyone will car pool from East (Westbetuwe), please let me know. I'll leave home between 09:00 and 09:30 and go west over A15 and Beneluxtunnel.

I checked. Unfortunately, there's only the €15 ticket. There's still room for 12 people on the 15:00 tour.

Weather is looking good for the 23rd., fwiw ...

I am in if weather requires

Understand Dick, I already thought that this would not work for you since you're leaving early. No problem. If we go to Van Nelle we need to leave Maassluis around the same time as you leave for work.

Just checked, there's still 12 places left for the 15:00 tour so it's still a possibility.

Weather is up and down for the 23rd, yesterday it looked bad, now it looks better again.

We would still need to hear from Dopol and molta if they like the idea before buying the tickets.

Let's decide Sunday or Monday what we do, hopefully we will have had a reaction from the others by then. If we go I can buy the tickets and then everybody pays me back there, that's probably the easiest.

I sure will join the van Nelle building visit.
I was a bit busy. Son has a new house. Painting and moving are on the horizon.

Thanks Domien

There's bad news and good news

bad: the weather is still up and down for the 23rd, but today it's mainly down .
good: there's still 12 tickets available for the 15:00 tour at the Van Nelle building (and 16 for the 14:00 tour in English)

Given the variable character of the weather I think going to Van Nelle is becoming more and more attractive.

I've sent molta a PM but he hasn't logged into the site yet so no response yet, I think we can wait one or two more days.

If we don't hear from him in time what do we do, buy 8 tickets and spread the cost among the other 7 if he can't make it, or buy 7 and hope there's still one ticket available later when we hear from him? I would be OK with the first option

Thanks Maarten, stunning shot! You'll be missed.

Thanks molta, no problem for reacting late, it's good to see not everybody is as addicted to the forum as some of us

I'll order the tickets for Van Nelle tonight, weather is still variable but I'm sure we can spend a little time in Maassluis in the rain (there's no bad weather for photography, only insufficient camera protecion ) but a whole day is a bit long in wet weather, so having Van Nelle for the afternoon is a good option to have at least part of the day dry and at a super location.

EDIT: Tickets ordered

EDIT 2: After we ordered our 8 tickets there are still 4 available now, so if there are lurkers out there thinking about joining the meeting it's still possible
