That sounds like a good alternative Leo. I'm not familiar with Maassluis and its indoor opportunities but the great outdoors will be unattractive.

As we may be doing Chabot as well, wouldn't it be better to look for a meet and greet point in Rotterdam?

Rotterdam is expensive parking. It is probably worthwhile to park in Maassluis or Schiedam and move to Rotterdam by Metro

If you reserve beforehand an entire day at Parking Museumpark (right near Chabot) is € 18,50. If you don't reserve beforehand it's 21 €.

Since Ivo and I are carpooling that's probably not that much more expensive, considering public transport is also not entirely free.

Cheaper alternative is taking a P+R at the city limit and go to the center with public transport, or park either further away for free and take public transport from there (Tram to Museumpark or Metro to Eendrachtsplein).

So how about we change meeting to see each other between 10:30 and 11:00 at:

Doppio Espresso, Wytemaweg 72, 3015 CN Rotterdam, Nederland. It's close to the Chabot Museum and Parking Museumpark. It opens sunday at 10:00 which is OK for us.

I will also change the first post with the new coordinates

In case the weather suddenly turns nice there's plenty to see there as well, Museumpark, Delfshaven, Euromast, Het Park, parkkade etc. is all in walking distance.

But one important thing: it will make me feel much better if everybody can confirm that they have seen the new meeting place here, I don't want anybody to show up in Maassluis and wonder where all the other participants are.....

It 's all ok for me.

Don't forget - i'll have 3 boxes filled with projector lenses with me. And those are "lightweight lenses" rather heavy (not as heavy as the 600mmf4 but still no lightweight either.

In that case it may be needed to bring something with you to carry those boxes (for Leo, Fred_S and someone else???).

I have one of these large blue IKEA bags in my car, so that can help

Or we can do a car boot sale after coffee, saves a lot of hoisting heavy lenses around

Fred, can I join?
It would mean a (small) detour and we can share costs for park&drive

I've seen the change of plan....
Quit a lot of ALPHA and NEX gear, a nice collection of Sigma lenses, Dynax and M42 stuff, Gitzo's, Visico's and lots of video-equipment

I gracefully accept this change of venue.

Glad you heard me (btw, usually internet "shouting" is all capitals)

Everybody confirmed now, so looking forward to see you all tomorrow morning.

Looking at the weatherforecast maybe we can do Maassluis and/or Hoek Van Holland after Van Nelle, looking at the Buienradar forecast the rain will be over from mid afternoon
