Had what turned out to be a mini Dyxum meet today. I had already arranged to meet Scott (PatMelone) at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick but ran into Greenman there too... and guess what - he was wearing GREEN (sorry I missed your name... ). I am currently downloading my card but will post photos as soon as I can...

At least my internet connection is working this morning so I can these ones up at least.

OK, I kinda crashed out when I finally got home last night, but I'll go through the shots I took tonight :)

I only got the camera out for the mounted skill at arms and jousting (Craig and Sherilyn from the kings horses needed some shots), so I didn't get shots of the camp etc. Truth is, I spent most of my time hanging out minding the tent, sewing up a new leather tunic to wear under my maille.

Anyhow, since I'd been shown where to stand, I probably got to control my backgrounds better than people in the crowd.. will see how that old lens performed tonight when I go through them :)

Hey, thanks Scott... must have been too tired last night to notice

Lovely images too, it's interesting to see different views of similar subjects... I had over 800 pics so am still working through them, and I am trying different ways of presenting them (and that probably had more to do with being tired and then having a couple of galsses of red and then going through the images!!!)

Looking forward to seeing yours Greenman, that afternoon one with the watermelon looked awesome on the camera screen!!!

This looks like a fun day out, cant wait to see the rest.

I like the tiled background finish Rosie. A little distracting though I think, maybe if the tiling is a bit smaller/larger? Also what PP did you do on #3 above?

haha, thanks wolfy... it was just a but of fun... in #3 I used the magnetic marquee to mask of the background and then added gausian blur. The magnetic marquee is what I used for all those with PP in the last section #1 & #2 - stained glass, #3 gausian blur, #4 & #5 motion blur... #9 just some burning

Yeah I really like the overall result of #3 & #4, the blur works well in those I think.
