On 11th January 2020, a small DM took place in Melbourne attended by James (@clk230), Adam (@adhox) and myself.
Here are some photos I took on our walk around the city.
All a99ii and either Sigma 15mm f2.8 linear fisheye, or CZ 85mm f1.4 Planar.
I'm sure both James and Adam shall add images, and especially the mandatory group photo(s) that James took.

We met at Flinders Street Station, and because I got there a tad early I took these first few images at Federation Square over the road.

Jo2. The Yarra Building in this photo was going to be torn down to make way for a new Apple Super Store but after cries of outrage about how the design was at odds with the rest of Federation Square and harmed the integrity of the overall award winning design, it was heritage protected and Apple went away.

Great stuff - looking forward to seeing more.

I've moved this thread to themed views (which is where they normally sit), but there should still be a bookmark in the meetings thread...

Thanks Bob. I've added a link to this in the original 'Where Next in Australia?' meetings thread.
You will of course remember this route because it's basically a repeat of the one we followed when you came to Melbourne. That said, you really can't go wrong, and the art in the laneways is ever changing.

Great! Looking forward to more, especially the group shot

All these graffiti alleys are facinating as well as some of the architecture. You made good use of the fisheye.
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

James, that's a fine group of photographers - quality if not quantity.
Hope your road trip back to Adelaide went well, and looking forward to seeing your images from our Melbourne DM when you get around to it.

Always a pleasure to look at DM meetings (in faraway countries).
Only the graffiti cold justify a journey to down-under .
And the architecture certainly adds, as does the walk along the river.
looking forward to more shots.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken

It was indeed a thoroughly enjoyable DM with Joe and Adam who graciously shared their knowledge of Melbourne.

James,
It's always a pleasure seeing familiar things as seen through others' eyes and lenses.
I really like your take on our photo walk. You've picked out some very lovely details, created some fine images, and as an architect, I especially like those tele shots zooming in on the building details.
Must say, #Ja3 is a bit scary - I really hope the fisherman was unsuccessful. Although there are fish gradually reappearing in the Yarra River that's being environmentally cleaned up after over a century it being a polluted drain taking industrial and other run-offs, I think those fish are still not healthy eating.
Looking forward to seeing the rest from both you and Adam.
