Good to see this distinguished gathering around the bronze model of the old city.
Hopefully later photos will show some smiles after the mandatory refreshing beers have been sampled. |

No fun so far, indeed, no smile or laughter to see
Let the pictures come! |

Domien, Fred and I arrived friday late afternoon by car from Merano and Leo by train from the Netherlands. Harald was to arrive later (9 pm) by train from Venice. Michael picked us up from the hotel for a before-dinner walk along the Theresiënwiese (the area of the Münchener Oktoberfest)
peg-2: The first stop was the St Paul church A6000 + E 10-18/4 peg-3: Side entrance A7ii + MD Rokkor=X 45/2, vertical pano of 5 landscape oriented photos peg-4: The Oktoberfest was over, but some signs still up A7Rii + FE 70-300 G peg-5: And we had a glorious sunset while some of the decorations were still in place A7Rii + FE 70-300 G peg-6: At the back you could see the demolition in full swing A7ii + MD Rokkor-X 45/2 More to come |

After the walk around Theresiënwiese Michael (our perfect host and guide) booked a dinner table at the Augustiner Bräustuben, a typical place with traditional German food (and beer of course )
No photos inside (too dark and cramped), but when we arrived a historic bus was standing in front. peg-7: Dinner hopping.de Leica M246M + VM color skopar 21/4 |

So as you can see in the official group shoot, all the togs took the meeting seriously and also used various equipment to ensure that at least few images turned out ok to showcase in here

Thanks Pieter for kicking off our Munich photo marathon. I'll follow you on our Friday evening walk with a few smartphone snaps...
When passing by the St.Paul's Church on the way towards Theresienwiese, we also had a quick look inside and just before a church service in Croatian language. Shot w/ iPhone15 Since a few years the Oktoberfest area gets blocked with fences, so no possibility to enter and stroll over the Theresienwiese when the big tents are setup, respectively disassembled again. Shot w/ iPhone15 While slooooowly walking to Augustiner Bräustuben for dinner. Shot w/ iPhone15 |

Nice iPhone snaps Michael, especially M03
D02 was a good decisive moment Domien, I just missed it . D01 and D03 look very similar and D05 is came out very nice, despite that it was already quite dark at that time. |
