Some time ago Pieter (pegelli) borrowed the famous "Dyxum Minolta 100/2" from Leo (darosa) and since Leo recently got an A7Riv and LA-EA5 he wanted to test how this lens works on that combo.
Since this lens was first owned by brettania and later Kiklop it's more valuable than any other Minolta 100/2 so Pieter decided to hand deliver it and take the opportunity to see Leo's new house and area he now lives in. So during this Dyxum Mini Meeting (DMM) we visited three small but very charming villages. First Ellewoutsdijk (where Leo lives since oktober last year) and in the afternoon Nisse and Oudelande. But before we start the reportage on our DMM let's start with the mandatory group shot, taken on the village square in Nisse F.l.t.r. Leo - Pieter A6000 + E20/2.8 |

Good groupshot Pieter, it captures this mini meet to a T, plenty of dynamic range of these two somewhat older gentlemen!

No stabilizer yet?! I'm looking forward to some 100/2 shots, and the reportage of your 'adventure'.

Good to see, but where's the 1.5 m social distance? and the masks?
Looking forward to seeing some walkabout images, and 100mm shots. |

Here's a few first photos from Ellewoutsdijk peg 1: It's really a small village with a very small grocery store: If you want to buy eggs (€ 1,50 for 10) or milk (€ 1,00 for 1 l.) just take it and put the money in the jar. The only way to make sure people pay is a sign with a rhyme: als u niet wil betalen kan u hier niets halen If you don't want to pay don't get anything peg 2: Leo doing his magic with an old russian (22 mm) lens peg 3: You can see Leo and Marjo's new house at the far right between the trees All A7ii + Tokina 21/3.8 (MD mount) More to come |

Its nice to see that the Dutch have "honesty stalls", we have the same thing here, most customers are good and pay but you do get the occasional bad uns.
Looking forward to more photos! |

A very charming introduction to Ellewoutsdijk Pieter!
I focused on the small world, as you can see in Pieter's shot, looking for bokeh and character. Here are some results, starting with Pieter's image: 1 Niddy-griddy 2 Ellewoutsdijk harbour, close-up 3 Green all made with NEX-6 + Lenkinap OKC1-22-1 22/2.8 cine lens (what else to use on Day 22 :)) |

Great start Leo, I'd say 1 and 2 are good examples of your "darosa style" and getting a fitting and painterly mix of foreground detail and background bokeh. I saw you taking 3 and thought "what is he seeing there", but now I see
Both Leo and I will do double duty between this thread and day prime, so there's more from Ellewoutsdijk to see here. More to come from this very enjoyable day, both in day prime and here |

Wonderful start. Love seeing the prequel photo of Leo at work creating the images shown subsequently of which I really like the latter (#2).
As for #3 'Green' - that one really grabs you. Wonderful image. More please. |

peg 4: Another view on Ellewoutsdijk peg 5: Fort Ellewoutsdijk peg 6: Fort Ellewoutsdijk behind the much higher "Delta Dyke" The fort was built around 1830 to deny the separatist Belgians to use the harbour of Antwerp, in 1839 The Netherlands and Belgium signed a treaty opening the Schelde so the fort was no longer needed. In WW2 the Germans used it as a prison. Now it's a historic monument and nature reserve. peg 7: The home of autofocus, looks a bit neglected now that Leo moved to the village All A7ii + Tokina 21/3.8 (MD mount) |
