Thanks Peter. I'm grateful to be able to take advantage of the latest focus algorithms that can be set for human, animal or bird eye AF. Us older codgers need all the help we can get! Plus, I'm grateful for the LA-EA5 converter that has enabled me to retain all my quality a-mount lenses for use on the a7iv, be they SSM or screw focus.

How do you test a new lens?

After the initial quick checks outside the shop looking for alignment issues it's go home and find your pet

1,7 kg actually

That's why I bought this one and not the Sigma, which goes to 600 mm but is also longer, thicker and heavier (2.1 kg).

First results are looking good. My upcoming trip to Newfoundland should provide an ideal test opportunity.

Oh this is LOVELY! What do you think of that new Samyang 135? I've been contemplating it in the future. If this image is anything to go by, it's awesome!
