Oscar

Oscar died on Friday after a blessedly short illness - my walks no longer have the same purpose. There'll be other dogs to love and care for, but this one was truly special.

Phil, my heart goes out to you for your loss. I am sorry. I can understand how you may be feeling as we lost our Ollie earlier this year, my very first ever dog, and it still hurts. But a month or so ago we brought home eight week old Teddy, another golden retriever, and he is keeping our minds fully occupied as we try to guide him into adulthood!

Try to enjoy your happy memories and treasure your photographs and he will live on forever in your hearts.

Brian

All the best Phil, the only unfortunate thing about dogs is that they live shorter than we do so from time-to-time you have to say goodbye and that hurts, especially with the ones you develop a special bond with. However they make it up by their relentless loyalty and the happy memories will always remain and I hope these will soon overwhelm the grief.
You can see the April Foolishness 2023 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

Brian, Pieter - thank you for your kind words.

Oscar was a great dog, but he wasn't always the best photo model.

oh 'the nose lick & retracted ears' look :-) May not result in the best portrait, but it's cute anyway.

So sorry for your loss, Phil. My thoughts go out to you.
