    Posted: 12 March 2012 at 09:19
Dear Dyxumers,

The selection process has been finished today giving us 10 photos: each admin/mod/alpha eye had the right to nominate photos of his/her choice, photos which earned 4 or more nominations became finalists (please see below).

As for the voting - please let me remind you that you can award up to two photos by assigining 3 points to the one you like the best and 1 point the second one. You cannot sum points and assign it to one photo, i.e. the only thing you can do is to assign either 3 or 1 point.

To cast the vote it is enough to give the photo number and the number of points. Strictly speking the voting format is following:

   #photo_num: points

Please remember to put each vote on a separate line.

Example:

   #1: 3
   #5: 1

You can change your vote up to the time of closing the voting. You can either edit your original post (preferred way) or cast the vote for the second time - only the last voting post will be taken into account.

Please note that voting for your own pic is not allowed.

To resolve situations where there are two winning entries with equal number of votes the one with greater number of 3-point votes will be selected as a winner. If it happens that both photos have exactly the same distribution of votes the decision will be made by a commitee consisting of admins/mods/alpha eyes (preferably those not voting in the DPC in question).

Important: Only Dyxumers who joined our community before the DPC was closed (i.e. up to 2012-03-10) can vote. Votes of those who joined after that date will not be taken into account.

As usual the administrators also have the right to make one or more Honourable Mention awards.

The voting will close on 2012-04-10 at around 21:00 CET.

And now please let me present all finalists of the DPC #147 "Metal Birds" in order in which they appeared in the DPC thread:

#1 "Off into the unknown" by AndyHarris

#2 "P-51 sunset" by dbiela

#3 "Show Birds" by subcat001

#4 "Almost home…" by wross

#5 "To the Moon and Back" by vinayn

#6 "Into The Light" by badlydrawnroy

#7 "Where's There Smoke..." by RobY

#8 "Smoke in the Clouds" by ifreedman

#9 "Dornier-Do27: Cockpit" by Klick-Klack

#10 "A call from the above" by svjetlana

Good luck to all finalists,
MiPr
