I have been spending a lot of time on bird watching this month,
Most birds are shown before. So I decided on a Wet/Dry contest. This is only a limited set from the species I saw. #1 Nuthatch ![]() #2 Nuthatch ![]() #3 Treecreeper ![]() This is the first time I ever saw one. And it didn't take a bath #4 Hawfinch ![]() #5 Hawfinch ![]() #6 Blackcap (fem) ![]() #7 Blackcap (fem) ![]() she got no further than paddling #8 Marsh tit ![]() #9 marsh tit ![]() #10 Robin ![]() #11 Robin ![]() #12 blue tit ![]() #13 Blue tit: on the watch for a bather ![]() #14 Mr Blackbird ![]() #15 Blackbird ![]() #16 Mrs Blackbird ![]() #17 Mrs Blackbird ![]() Quite enough I think All take with A7Riii or A9 with 100400GM. Thanks for looking and remarks or comments are always welcome. |

Very normal birds one can see everyday. I like it you posted these dry/wet ones and actually shows how much fun can be had just observing these birds. You captured these pretty good too. TFS Domien

Great set, I especially like all the ruffled wet ones.
I see in the exif you shot most of these at 560 mm, did you do a lot of cropping to get them even bigger in the frame or are these more or less a large part of the entire capture? |

Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

Looks like a good place to watch birds Domien!
I like the series. #11 looks a bit grainy, but still has great details. Some seem a bit dark, but that may be my screen (e.g. #8). TFS |

Thanks, guys.
There was not so much cropping. Max 2/3. And I can get a lot closer cropping further. This one is at 50% #18 Dunnock ![]() The light was not good. Overcast between trees. I had to go up to 6400ISO to get short enough shutter times. Shots can be on the dark side. That's my preferred processing style (this moment) It was great fun though. The interior shots of the cabin can be seen here and here. The fine net seen in the last photo protects the birds from flying into the window. It shows on the photo's as banding a little.
