I thought I'll start a new Themed View Thread because I have not found any thread that would be devoted to duotone or split tone photography
![]() The rules of this TVT are simple: the subject does not matter - you can post anything (please note: general Dyxum rules apply ![]() ![]() So, to start off - here's a picture of the meadow anemone (and since I like the Polish name more I'll give the photo the Polish title ![]() Sasanka ![]() Edited by MiPr - 08 May 2015 at 22:13 |

Beautiful! Minimal DOF and nicely structured background. What magical lens did you use?

Thank you. The magical lens was Sony 50/1.4 at f1.4 - my April Foolishness challenge

Ah, the much maligned Sony 50/1.4. Now where is my copy? In a bag somewhere.... Time to pull it out I think!
In the meantime, may I be so bold as to suggest renaming the thread to 'Duotone and Split Tone"?. For me, Mono sort of implies B&W and we already have a greyscale (grayscale) thread That aside, I like the idea (and opening photo) Here's one from me. I don't think I posted it before (certainly not this version) Is this what you imagined for the thread? Blue Clouds ( A LR6 B&W---> Split Tone process) ![]() Camera Model: ILCA-77M2 | Lens: 85mm F1.4 ZA | Aperture: f/8.0 | Exposure Time: 1/2500 sec | ISO: 250 |

Indeed, somehow I missed the existence of the greyscale thread ![]() ![]() |

You missed the gre(a)yscale thread! Just like almost everyone ever missed the Galaxies for Mikey2000 thread.
Is there no end to my ambition? I love galaxy photos. And macro photos. I think there is some ripe material for near-B&W somewhere inbetween ![]() |

An excellent idea @Mipr- I'm quite fond of duotones.
