    Posted: 26 January 2018 at 08:25
The attentive members might have noticed already but several changes have taken place in the Dyxum team over the past weeks.

First wross, Frankman, jamesmd and Serdar A "retired" from their active duties and became "Emeritus Members". With this we would like to thank them for the many things they did for the site in the past and wish them well in the future.

Then Micholand moved from Moderator to Administrator to recognise the many things he's doing behind the scenes to keep the site and the databases running.

Thirdly darosa and mikey2000 moved from "Alpha Eye" to Moderator to recognise all the duties they already carried out as co÷rdinators of DPC's, challenges and OoU.

And last but not least we could welcome two new members to the team as Jozioau and waldo_posth accepted our request to become "Alpha Eye". We're exited to have two new members on the team who in the past have shown us many excellent photographs but also already provided useful comments on photo's posted by other members. We hope they will continue to set this example and thereby encourage all our members to give comments on other people's photo's

An up to date list of the whole team can be found here
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

As an 'Internal Member' of this team, can I just add a few words here about the Members that have moved to Emeritus status please?

They have all been long standing members of this community - in fact, one could say they have helped enormously in making Dyxum the special place it is over the years and all have played their part in bringing me 'on board' within the community. I, for one, greatly miss the diversity, openness and imagination of all three of these people (as well as the stunning images they so skillfully produce) and clearly wish them unbounded success in their current activities. I would hope they take some time in visiting the Forum - if only to make sure we are taking good care of it!

This, of course, is not to place added pressure on the new Members in both added positions and new roles; far from it - the names mentioned are accomplished photographers and already contribute widely to commenting on others work - this is just making that a little more 'official'. And, as Pieter points out - that should also encourage everyone to comment on others work; it's a great way of appreciating what the author is trying to say in their images and builds your own experience and abilities at the same time as well.

Many congratulations to all the changes and additions - the Team moves onwards!

Best regards, Neil.
My Mantra: "Comment on other's work as you would wish to have yours commented upon". Go on - it's fun!

Welcome aboard Joe and Harald!   Although I am sworn to keep the secret of the initiation ritual, I can confirm nobody was hurt this time.

Seriously though... I can feel a new liveliness on the site in general - so many detailed photo commentaries! Well done to everyone

Thanks to the retired members, and welcome to Harald and Joe. I am sure they will bring even more to this great forum than they have done so far with beautiful pics and valuable comments and feedback.
Obviously my appreciation goes to the other AMAE team members as well.

I really miss Walter's (wross) creativity, Frank's (Frankman) - our Bird Man #1 images, James (jamesmd) enthusiasm and energy and I hope that one day they will join Dyxum again.
Micholand, darosa and mikey2000: I really don't know what are you guys going to do with all that money you've gotten from your raise.
Jozioau and waldo_posth: we will do our best to squeeze out all that fresh energy you bring with yourself.

I'd like to add my thanks and congratulations to all involved for making Dyxum my only "go to" place on the web for my photography needs these past 10 years.

In addition to a big thank you to all the retired members of the team, the promoted members of the team and the new members of the team, I would like to add another "thank you". A big thank you to each and every one of dyxum members, be it AMAE member, a senior member or a newbie member. Dyxum is what it is because of the collection of members who post and share their knowledge and their great photos.

    THANK YOU ALL!!!

Thanks all for the work you do. I know what it entails, as I was an admin on a large dog related board years ago. Passion for the subject is needed.
