For my Day Prime challenge Day 30 I took the Pentacon 3.5/30mm on A99ii (on tripod).
After work a quick visit to the harbour for some shots. Nice series Fred! Some great work in interesting light. I think I like 5 best for the isolation of the ship... and 10 for a very different "street" composition!

What i like best here is the beautiful blue sky in the first ones. A great example of well chosen time to shoot photo's. This was lost a bit in #5, 10 and 11. The reflections in #7 look good too. Maybe you could experiment a bit with several cut outs of the window too. TFS Fred

A very interesting photographic 'essay' with some lovely images. I agree with Michel about the beautiful 'blue hour' sky. My favourites are ##2, 4, 7 and 8, and I would like #7 even more if the left side was cropped a little so that only the window frame is in it.
Thanks for posting. |

A fine series Fred
Good trade off for defying the cold. Love the light in #4, that I like best of the series (by far) But the others are fine too. |

Lots of ships and details (plus the night shots' atmosphere) - and very well captured: great set, Fred!
It's difficult for me to select favorites - with one exception: #7 is a really unusual take - the brickstones framing the reflected image, a great find! TFS! |

Thanks all for your kind comments!
I had experimented and struggled with the right crop for #7, but initially this gave the best outcome for me, since it gave an indication of the dimensions and I liked the bricks. However I have had a look and some tries again after your comments but it remains a struggle for me ![]() Here's one just with the window. Not sure if it is a real improvement. If anybody else wants to give it a try , feel free. ![]() |

For me the brickstones frame #7 and they are a necessary ingredient to make it a special picture - but that's only my opinion.

I like the bricks framing the window, just thought it would look better a little tighter cropped on the left to take out the metal frame from the blind/canopy?
