Hi everyone,

Had some good news yesterday - I had entered a number of images for the Kent County Photographic Association Annual Exhibition; this is organised between all the affiliated Kent Camera Clubs/Photo. Societies and is a real challenge to get acceptances let alone higher awards with a PDI entrance in excess of 1250 images this year.

To my delight, I managed to come away with a total of 7 acceptances, and three awards (all in the Record Category) which were a 'Highly Commended', a PAGB 'Ribbon' and, of all things, a Gold Medal! You could have knocked me over with e feather.... Here are the acceptances and award images:

1.Solid Waves (Colour Pictorial)

2. Southwestern American Landscape (Colour Pictorial)

3. The Choreographer and the Dancing Girls

4. Yin and Yang (B&W Pictorial)

5. Central Tower Detail with Transeptds York Minster (Highly Commended - Rocord)

6. Chapter House Ceiling York Minster (PAGB Ribbon - Record)

7.Stage and Piano Palau de la Musica Catalana Barcelona (PAGB Gold medal - Record)

A very happy bunny today but also very aware that sets the standards for next year....

Thanks for looking and best regards, Neil.

Congrats Neil, excellent images and all well deserved. I seem to remember quite a few made the exhibition here as well, but these honours are way above that.
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

I think you do the Forum something of a slight disservice Pieter - in many ways, the rewards of making the Exhibition, DPC's and great comments from such a wide ranging and diverse group of photographers more than makes uo for getting rewards and medals if I'm honest.

Thanks and best regards, Neil.

Quite the array of superb images - diverse as well. With flower images being so very, very common it takes something quite exceptional for me to take notice. I surely took notice of "The Choreographer and the Dancing Girls" - exceptional +++
