Exif -- lens reporting incorrect data

Perhaps not, but I suspect that if Adobe or whatever doesn't have a profile, it might not acknowledge the lens. My point originally was that the lens description seems to be in the EXIF information, but that the editing software isn't recognising it!

There may be plenty of profiles available, but from my own check on what is accepted by Adobe, their software doesn't include it all. I think that this may be because they only include it for recent cameras and lenses, but not for older equipment. This would be understandable as it is only the more recent software and camera gear that have full provision to use the information anyway. That said, it would be nice if the editing software did at least show the correct lens identity! If I want this, I find it jsut as easy to do a check with ExifTool which displays ALL the EXIF information not just a selection.
