Well, this is way easier.

As it happens my photo is looking south roughly where Sagittarius and the Milky Way might be located late tonight, if a break in the predicted clouds allows. The location is midway between Oxford and Swindon and the south view avoids the worst of both towns for light pollution. Marshalling a dozen or so extras to wander the skyline at 1 a.m. might be a problem. So then I would face having to capture the Milky Way as a separate exposure and marrying it to the daytime shot.

And that would be fake too, but perhaps marginally less so.
