But, but, according to SAR "You'd have to be some really special person with special needs, that rides a certain type of bus, to want to buy the most expensive dust pumping and sucking f4 zoom on the planet"

Nice picture. Do you like it in real life use?

It just arrived yesterday morning, so it's still not enough for the first impression,

I can shoot anything. Not too close, not too far, not too fast.

AF speed is great. Originally, the AF of the macro lens is slow, so it may not be compared, but this lens can fill up the memory card while taking one shot with the AF200/4G Macro.

I consider this to be a versatile macro lens, so comparing it to the 70200GMII is nonsense.
A kind of sundew. in Hakone., FE70200G2+1.4xTC。f=196mm.

How does it perform with 2X TC?
Especially in comparison to your 100-400mm?

I didn't have that idea.
Let's try it with BIF next time.

This is a swimming bird.

Just wondering how much difference there is in sharpness with 2x TC.
I don't expect it'll be as good as 100-400mm obviously but I am wondering if it's still usable.

Hate to say it but that swimming duck just has no bits of the frame sharp!

There aren't many options for the 400mm sample.
FE 70-200mm F4 Macro G OSS II + 2X Teleconverter.

What do you mainly shoot with 400mm?

Thank you for the samples. Flowers are better than duck possible because of motion blur.

Normally shoot wildlife at 400mm

A review of Map Camera, a camera shop for enthusiasts in Japan (in Japanese).
There is also an example combined with 2xTC.

Finally, I checked the AF performance.
In my case, I check at a bird show at a nearby zoo where the conditions are easy to meet.
It's not the best, but I think it's sufficient AF performance.
