Some very beautiful flowers here - I suppose it is the rIght time of year, but it shows here!

@darosa... Leo, your first shot is remarkably lovely. Must be the lens!

Bit hard to isolate out the background on this one as the flowers are so small compared to the plant body.

First of spring.

Outdoors planted Mammillaria mystax, give it a few more weeks and there will be rings of flowers around it.

The background isn't that bad, maybe you could try to get a little closer. Not too close .. those needles

Snowfella - that cactus looks like it has lots of potential with all those repeating patterns.   I bet it looks great when it flowers all over!

After a month with the 5n/Sig30 it was most pleasurable to return to full frame and one of my favourite lenses :-)

Thanks.
Does have quite a bit of potential with that spiral pattern, getting more and more apparent as it grows bigger aswell. This is just it's second flowering season so I'm hoping for more of a show this year, not that the 100 or so flowers it had last year was a bad result but it never flushed a full ring for me at once.
Here's about the most I caught open at one time.

@MichelvA: With having some 300 spiny little friends in pots and even more outdoors in the garden spines is no more than a friendly greeting. Repotting time generally finds me diggin spines out of my hands for weeks afterwards
