Bit hard to isolate out the background on this one as the flowers are so small compared to the plant body.
First of spring. Outdoors planted Mammillaria mystax, give it a few more weeks and there will be rings of flowers around it. |

The background isn't that bad, maybe you could try to get a little closer. Not too close .. those needles

Snowfella - that cactus looks like it has lots of potential with all those repeating patterns. I bet it looks great when it flowers all over!

Does have quite a bit of potential with that spiral pattern, getting more and more apparent as it grows bigger aswell. This is just it's second flowering season so I'm hoping for more of a show this year, not that the 100 or so flowers it had last year was a bad result but it never flushed a full ring for me at once. Here's about the most I caught open at one time. @MichelvA: With having some 300 spiny little friends in pots and even more outdoors in the garden spines is no more than a friendly greeting. Repotting time generally finds me diggin spines out of my hands for weeks afterwards |
