Here the results of a failed mission last Saturday.
The newspaper had announced the opening of a memorial for the veterans at 12Am on Saturday and I had spotted some old military vehicles soldiers in town already.
So I went with my gear well in time to take some pictures of that.
However, apart from an older lady, the place was quiet and stayed quiet until close noon. I suspected something was wrong and asked a lady working in her garden opposite the location. She told me the ceremony had taken place already at 10.30AM
I appeared it was an intended "error" in the paper, trying to avoid huge crowds in our little town . How cynical that just on Saturday many Covid restrictions had been relaxed in the Netherlands...

Well, I decided to take a few flower shots at the same location instead.
Used my little Taylor Hobson Cooke Kinic 1.8/1inch c-mount on A7R2 in APS-C mode).

I tried to find the paper (and therefore the little town) and it seems in a lot of places they have planted fields of anjers (Dianthuses, the flower associated with veterans in NL) but none mentioned the time. I noticed that we have an Anjer field now in my hometown as well

That is one funky lens, interesting rendering for flowers. No Dianthus however Enjoyed it nonetheless. TFS.

Thanks Addy.
No Dianthus indeed, just a sign and the (new) local city flag...

That is the new Veteranen vlag (Veterans Vlag). Not your local flag

Ah, thanks Addy.
I was mislead by a recent post about our new local flag. Hanging down, it could have been that one too

Thanks Svjetlana!
The bee in #3 was a nce bonus. Personnaly I liked how #4 came out a bit 'magical'. Flickr picked #6 as Explored.

Your minimalistic approach of the purple crocus works very well!
