Samjackson - they are excellent. Looks like you'll be teaching us a thing or two soon. Just looking up the page, there's some real quality work here guys.

While I'm here, I may as well post these roses - just wish you could smell them too!

Ok, I'll be kind if you are

Could you wrote some words about the setup you made to get that wonderful shots? I always wonder how to get black background and such an even lighting.

Thankyou everyone for being so kind
well i use a 32" light box (one of those nylon square box things) its just like a big square that i sit the flowers inside then take shots from the open side. it came with a black background that you stick up to the back and drape over the bottom, and it also came with two small lights on a tripod that i use on eiter side to get the lighting right, and becasue the light is passing through the nylon it defuses to make a nice even shadow.
as for using the thing, i set it up on a table so its tall enough to use a tripod with, then i just set the lights up how i want them and snap away, some poeple use daylight instead of the lamps aswel.

it was the greatest investment i ever made for my photography and it wasnt even that expensive
heres what it looks like

also you can find heaps of DIY ones on the net which look like they would do the job fine.
i would be happy to answer any more questions
thankyou and enjoy

Great shooting Sam, and welcome to Dyxum. You have already made it in "Spotted by the Admin Team..."

Dammit, actually, will have to get me a lightbox after thinking about it for three years.
