A humble little blossom shot, Queenstown Gardens.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing, as simply messing about in boats

jscott, i love the circular appeal of your photo, it looks like it's spinning, sorta.

There's some nice work here by those still in the "Newbie" category, although I have moved some that were posted in the wrong area.

Man, there is some good stuff here.

hieuhef,
The colors on those cut flowers lying on the tile is amazing. In fact it looks life-like to the point I think its medium format digital or a scan. What camera is that?

That rose Ronnie, is also great.

I have to go back to my first shoot with A100 to get one that can stand with the others. This flower is vying for attention.

Look at Me!

fineart, you flatter me

and to think it was shot with the 'lowly' a100! my teacher told me the other day that whenever he sees pictures of flowers, he thinks it's product placement for seed manufacturers and the like. i have to disagree, because looking at these images, the colors, the velvety textures, i see much more than a bag of seeds!

<3 the flower shots, people!

Here are a few from my weekend trip to the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, N.C. Still some nice blooms this late into the year...
