I've decided to sell my Mongoose M-262 Gimbal head. It is best for smaller lenses, like the 300mm f2.8. I would not use it for a 500mm f4 or 600mm. I used it with my 70-400G.

This head is quality equipment. The current model is the M.3.6 that is available for $598. The head I have is less elaborate, but shares many of the features that make this gimbal head one for you to consider.

The Arca Swiss compatible clamp is micro-adjusted by twisting the lever. The 4th Generation capped twist knobs tighten the gimbal action. Condition is as shown in the pictures - the three spots on the bottom where the tripod screw secured the gimbal head to the tripod are the only marks other than fine things caused by the few times it was used.

I used this head on a Series-2 Gitzo with a sliding post, but obviously it's well suited for a larger 3-series. The head, however, is so light it's almost not even there. Great for hiking without the extra weight associated with a Wimberley.

Comes in coffee stained original box.

$300.00 shipped CONUS - will ship internationally to well-established Dyxum Members.

Taken with NEX-5 and kit zoom ...
