I have been much more sporadic than I used to be... just now (end of Nov) saw this thread for the 1st time.

Count me as among the members who would like to donate... but not if PayPal is involved.

Hi Bob, my PayPal uses a different email account, but it has a connection to my real name as shown in my profile here. Not sure if I’m one of your anonymous donors.

I have used a lot of forums over the years that have slowly ceased to be for various reasons. Dyxum is a great place for us and I am pleased to see it still going.

I am on limited funds at the moment so can't pay anything large but I think I can do something small on paypal as a regular payment. I would certainly like to do my bit to support this place as I don't often come here.

This may change, but for now I'll do what I can.

Do you have an additional title for them in the forum such as 'forum supporter'. I have done this on a few of the forums I have run over the years. They're also getting some of my time and effort still but their hosting costs are co shared with a fellow admin and its total is under £100 a year.

So what I've discovered is Paypal is fine for one off payments but you (the sender of money) can't set up a continious/repeat payment.

I've tried it with both the setting of 'business' and the 'friends and family' option with no joy.

I've got other 'automatic' payments running for other things I subscribe too but I can't find a way to make Bob J into one of those.

I have tested with 3 payments so far. I suspect at this point my technological skills will take a back burner here and I'll have to put a note in my diary to repeat once a month to make the payment.

I do so prefer the fire and forget option.

Bob. Thank you for your patience.

Bob, I don’t think I have ever met a more egalitarian person. And of course you are right. And without Dyxum I would never have met you.

As part of my profession, I work with AWS pretty regularly. They've made it incredibly easy to be a tenant.
Not sure if I can help but if the admin team ever decides to try out moving into the cloud I could perhaps of be assistance.

Bob, I just sent a donation. Wish I had more time to post and to post pics on the site. But even though I don't, I still visit regularly and think it's the most awesome international community!!!
