Getting an A99 next to existing A77II ?

Makes even more sense when you factor in equivalence - in full frame terms the apertures are f13.4 for the Olympus and f8.4 for the Sony - smaller sensors give you more length and more depth of field, but less light.

Matt has an 85/1.4 a lens that cries out to be used FF. The extra stop of light will also help with the 500/8 and, let's face it, all the primes were designed to fulfil the needs of FF shooters. It was gathering a collection of primes like this that got me hankering for a FF body.

I went FF with an A900 after years of using SLT bodies (A58 & A77). While I loved the FF experience I missed the EVF, so it wasn't long before I succumbed to temptation and got an A99ii. I have never regretted it. The A77 still gets occasional use - especially when I want extra length out of my telephotos (beats any TC I've tried), but the A99ii is my automatic choice for 90% of my shooting. Would I get an A99 to compliment an A77ii? I'm not so sure, I can't help thinking I would soon be after an A99ii.

The bottom line is cost - 600 euro is a decent price for an A99, you would have to pay a lot more for an A99ii.
