This thread is for your recommendations for good eBay accessory sellers
But lets keep it as a thread for posting links to your favorite eBay sellers that you go to for ACCESSORIES I would rather we didn't use it for the one-off new lens deals (there would likely be one reply per member, and this thread would lose the plot!). So accessories only please. Some history: a while back I got some FAKE Ultra II cards and had a battle getting my refund. And also I recently bought some generic/third-party/after-market α100 cells only to find out they were the right size and shape (and being sold as for the α100), but NOT compatible with the camera! So, I personally went through some pain getting the cash back on those too. So in reply to that I shall post in here the two eBay shops that I used to get GOOD cards, and GOOD cells. So ... recommendations for GOOD/RELIABLE eBayer sellers selling good accessories. Hopefully this will become a good point of reference. PLEASE - NO RECOMMENDING YOUR OWN SITE - THAT WOULD BE ADVERTISING & QUICKLY DELETED and I've popped it up as a *sticky* for reference, and thank you to Heidfirst for the idea, we exchanged a few PMs around finding a seller for some lens caps I think it was? This is the store I use for thir-party α100 cells/batteries, they work perfectly and they get from HongKong to UK in a little over 7 calendar days:
HKBay852 I use this seller for my Kenko Pro UV filters, again, quick to the UK: DIGITAL-iSHOP And this is my source for generic centre-pinch lens caps: Link-Delight-Links-World Of course I must also mention this UK seller for NEW Minolta things, caps, 7D LCD covers, manuals, cases, all surplus kit I think: Photostore-Worldwide this is where all 5x of my CF cards came from. ALL ORIGINALS, all a-okay, all perfect, all good price. All genunie, (not fakes) FlashMan852 (funny the "852" bit in two of those seller? brothers?) PS - I have no affiliation with any of these sellers, just places I have used between 3-10+ times for bits and bobs. Perfect Everything! you can see feedback from me (VividOptic) in their profiles. & Fotodiox/Qualityfoto was my source for generic centre-pinch caps - they do 2 types. Based in the US but they were cheaper than buying from Hong Kong eBayers & shipping by USPS took about 5 days to the UK. 22/01/07 Bought some more stuff (stepdown rings etc.) & again turned up fine in the UK 1 weeek later. These guys, located in Hong Kong, kicks the snot out of Hoya and B+W high-end filter prices, even WITH shipping, compared to other ebay and online shops. If they don't have it, there's a good chance they can get it. They found a hard to find UV after a short email to them.

I use Heliopan filters, (which are superb, by the way) and have only found one UK source for these, and that was after a long struggle:
http://www.teamworkphoto.com/heliopan.html they have had a '3 for 2' offer on for a while, don't know if it's always like that; considering the cost of these, esp. the multicoated ones, that's useful. Got them next day, too.... Sorry, just read the top thread properly and this isn't eBay. Don't seem to be able to delete this- but maybe someone will find it useful anyway. For generic wired remote cables for the 5D, 7D and I presume the A100 try Hudson River Photo. I bought a cable from them which is well made and the delivery was good.
For many things Minolta, try Minolta Mania who also gave good service. |

Here is a site that still lists a ton of Minolta closeouts. When I called 3 months back for 72mm caps, they had them in stock. Very nice to deal with on the phone as well.

Cameta Camera If they don't have what you want on auction, you can call them and buy it directly...I had them custom build my A100 kit for me. I buy all my CF cards here: Flash Memory Store Edited by Octupi - 17 October 2007 at 02:58 |

j.d.katz is well known for his camera bodies and lenses, but he also has quite an assortment of accessories from original Maxxum straps to filters and creative expansion cards.

I just bought an HDMI cable for my A700 from Hong Kong dealer Bestbuy.come
Dreadful trade name, but the cable was cheap, and quality is very good with gold contacts and braided fabric cable covering. It works fine with my Sony Bravia TV. |

I have used Crooked Imaging a few times. I ordered a raincover for my Tamrac bag at 15:00 yesterday and it arrived at 08:00 this morning.
I didn't think that I would buy on eBay from someone named Crook (after whom the store is named) but this guy has proven to be 100% (as is his feedback!). |
