Still processing last summer's New Zealand images this is a story about my search for a rhinozeros. It happened in a beautiful kind-of "multi-bay" landscape (one of the most beautiful landscapes in NZL, IMO): Akaroa Harbor, only a short distance from Christchurch. If you look at the Google map of this area you see a peninsula between Children's Bay and Takamatua Bay. That's the hill - and the map tells you that there is "The Rhino"! Quite puzzling! So I walked up the Old Coach Road and continued on its extension, the Old French Road (leading to Takamatua), to turn left to that hill on the peninsula - and found it!

#2 Takamatua Bay

#3 Ōnawe Peninsula

#4 Tree

#5 The road leading up

#6 Akaroa and Children's Bay, viewed from the hillside

#8 Direct hiking path from Akaroa up the hill

#9 The Rhinozeros on the hill

#10 The Rhinozeros on the hill

#11 The Rhinozeros on the hill

#12 View from the hillside to Tikao Bay

#13 View from the hillside to Wainui

Indeed great views. What strikes me, is that you managed to show very different images, from sunny (#1 to 11) to a tad clouded (#12, 13). Also, "The Rhinozeros" is shown from 3 totally different angles and the series is quite entertaining. Clearly masterly done, TFS Harald    .

Number 3 is very good. Also a fan of 11 and 12.

A lovely set, Harald, encompassing a changing landscape, changing light and weather, and different subjects. The rhino is a delight. #2 and #9 are my favourites.
