Thanks so much. Yes absolutely, it does generate sidecar files. But when it does that, does it still inject data into the DNG? I am trying to generate sidecar files, only, and not have anything write to the DNG itself, just so silverfast will all ow me to edit the file.

Just comment the following line:
$exifTool->WriteInfo($fname, $outfile);

And give it a try

Sorry, I don't quite understand. Keep that line, remove the other, then run the sript?

Try with the updated version I have uploaded to github and let me know if it worked for you minolta2exif

This version should create a -exif.DNG version of the image without modifying the original.

Wow, THANK YOU!! Worked flawlessly. I can see the data in Lightroom but still edit in Silverfast. Very much appreciated!
