I was thinking at first: he was so lucky to get sooo calm water. And then I saw exposure time....Anyway. This is nice one. TFS

Thank you, the water actually was so calm, but it was also very dark and polariser didn't help with exposure time as well. But since this is in the middle of the forest, there was no wind at all and river was slow.

Both woodland and forest translate to "bos" in Dutch. I found this treehugger article and I feel that it is a very English distinction that for some reason crossed the Atlantic: "The distinction between woods and forests actually goes back to medieval times, specifically when a “forest” referred to a plot of land big enough to preserve large game for royal hunting parties. Today, the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and the U.S. National Vegetation Classification system both offer similar perspectives on how to differentiate between the two."

I think the difference between woodland and forest is contrived. Therefore a woodland does count as forest as long as the picture is at least as good as yours

Cheers . And thanks for the link , interesting read .

I'm not sure about it being big enough for large game to live in , ducks on the lake , squirrels and pheasant's in the woodland .
All good for dinner , but certainly not the larger beasties !
