Cam, your will be missed so much ...

... all those moments will be lost in time like tears in the rain.
I'm noise-blind. And noise-about-noise-deaf too ... |   BTW, Dyxum Weekly Exhibitions don't grow on trees ...

I'll always associate Cameron with my early Dyxum days when I was still trying to find my way in photography. Folks like him were instrumental in getting me to where I am now.

I think this is an appropriate picture to connect me back to that time.
I detest bugs, especially spiders.

The first image I posted on Dyxum resulted in the the first pm and kind words and encouragement from Cam.

Of course they were not the last kind words, encouragement and help.

One of my first shots on Dyxum
I got comments from Cam.
The shot made it to the weekly exhibition. I was very proud
But especially the comments were (very) encouraging

Thanks Cam
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken

The only PM I ever received from brettania was straight after I nominated a photo for the weekly exhibition. I was really chuffed that someone so esteemed shared my view of the image, and hence why I remember (and still have) the PM, from 25th July 2012:

You and I both think alike.

I nominated the same shot.

I hunted back to the exhibition after that time and it was image number 5 in this post by Aldaer, which appeared half way down the weekly exhibition here.

Cam, I know you are a lover of flowers.
I am sure you will like this photo, the more so as it was made with a lens that belonged to you, the Minolta 100/2.

I have many many lenses, and your lens was one of the few 'gems'; but from now on the Minolta 100/2 will be 'the special one'.

During a long ago pic-a-day month, I received a PM from brettania about this photo and it ended up making it into the weekly exhibit (my first if I recall correctly). It encouraged me to be less shy about posting. RIP Cam, you will be missed.
