I found out someone not only used one of my photos, but my Flickr name to make an Instagram account.

The account lists nothing else with it. No contact info, other pictures, or credits on the only picture.

I am such it is someone looking to get paid for the name.

Instagram even with proof, is saying that I haven't proven that the photo is mine.

I sent them Flickr site info, url's for my about me, the picture and album it came from.

Along with a copy of the Flickr "all rights reserved" copyright info.

so anyone have any thoughts.
Life is a freak show, I only do the lighting.

The problem is that sharing on the net means people will use your content. That is just the way things are. Instagram (FB) is known to be terrible for lowly users like us (much easier if you're a big company ).

You made a copyright claim with Instagram, there is not a lot you can do.
You could send a message with the direct message system of Instagram.

There could be a host of reasons somebody used it (money, love, pride, whatever) but it is just annoying!
Why not follow me on Instagram? @Addy_101

Addy is right; maybe you could start by just ask this person about motives and tell you are uncomfortable with it. I don't know how Instagram works but i assume you can post messages. Personally i really don't like what these big social platforms to to the individual. It is just about making money and you can post "for free" in return.
