Congrats on your "new" camera Moises, I'm sure you'll make good use of it. apotelyt worked fine with two files I checked and gave consistent results with PIE (a shareware tool I use)

Does it have a "silent shutter" option, I noticed on my A7Rii that when I use silent shutter it doesn't increase the shutter count (rightfully so, because nothing moved) so with that camera my file numbers increase faster than the shutter count.
You can see the April Foolishness 2023 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

Feeling nostalgic I have some books/magazines/brochures but too lazy to dig them up so these are based on google results. My photography as a hobby started with Minolta so please bear with me.

Minolta's camera journey began in 1928 when Kazuo Tashima founded the company, initially as Nichi-Doku Shashinki Shōten (Japanese-German Camera Store), and they later adopted the name Minolta in 1931.

I acquired my first Minolta film SLR - the x300s (1990) in the late 90s.

2000 - Minolta Dynax 7 film camera was released. Forgot when I bought this from a local Minolta fan. He was the one who gave me a binder of Minolta brochures :D Got it after I got the KM5D.
2003 - Konica Minolta was formed through a merger
2004 - Konica Minolta 7D was released. I acquired this some time 2006 through ebay. Unit already dead :(
2005 - Konica Minolta 5D was released. I acquired it some time 2007. Forgot what I did with my unit
2006 - Sony acquired Konica Minolta's camera and photo business, including the Minolta A-mount lens system, which Sony then used for its own "Sony α" digital SLR system.
2007 - Sony A700 released. I acquired some time 2008. 2025 - my unit's AF died. Unit is still taking pictures though.
2010 - Sony's first SLT (Single-Lens Translucent) cameras announced - the A33 and A55.
2012 - Sony A99 was released
2013 - Sony A58 was released
2022 - A-mount discontinued
2025 - A700's AF died but decided to continue w my A-mount lenses instead of selling them. Acquired the A58 (local marketplace) and just yesterday received the A99 (ebay) which apparently is in very good (if not great!) condition I dont think I'll ever transition to E-mount since I also have M43 system.
The KM7D still feels very solid and very comfortable on my hands
Some pics

I then feel old like the Dynax 7

Cheers

I'm glad the a-mount is dead.

Why?

That's what made it possible for me to get a a850 in perfect condition for $250 last week.

I love ZOMBIE cameras!
