Yup, I saw that movie, too. I have also been viewing "Bergerac" - a TV series about a detective sergeant going through 9 seasons in the 1980s - which is set on Jersey. John Nettles, the lead actor, later became more famous as DCI Barnaby in ITV's "Midsomer Murders" TV series. He eventually produced a three-part TV documentary on the Channel Islands' Nazi occupation during WWII - the ideal supplement to the "Potato Peel Pie"-movie.

A very nice set with great variety. Love the different horizontal lines in nr 5, colours work well too. Nr 10 the tower against the black sky is very pleasing.
Nr 12 is my favourite, very beautifull. And nr 14 evokes a holiday feeling.

I, too, was introduced to the place when I read the best-selling 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society', and subsequently saw the film inspired by the book.
I also recall being surprised when I saw a book cover in an English bookshop while I lived in London in 1970, showing German occupying army soldiers marching in formation through the main street of Saint Peter Port against a background of Barclay's Bank and other familiar British signs. At that point I hadn't been aware of that wartime occupation.
A very interesting place with a very interesting history.
I really like the colour rendition, with #1 having a real old faded colour slide look to it.
My favourites of this fine post are hard to single out, but if pressed they'd be ##1, 5, 6, and particularly 10.
