Show us... Norderney, Germany

Show us islands of the world is your chance to show the island near where you live, or where you live on, or where you've been- then please choose pictures from your chosen island and either upload to an existing location thread, or if your location is not shown then start as a new thread. The usual Dyxum content rules apply- but to assist fellow Dyxumers inspired to visit locations that are shown, please indicate where in/on your island the photos were taken.

This thread is open for C&C and for posting additional pictures. Please ONLY post pictures taken at the island indicated- or start a new thread.

Norderney is one of the seven East Frisian islands on the German North Sea coast. It is located between the island of Juist and the island of Baltrum. Most recently it has been the location of filming a TV series, "Slöborn", which tells the story of a group of people surviving a pandemic. It was filmed (and the first season also broadcast) before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A large part of the island is a nature reserve (Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park). The island can be reached by ferry from Norddeich Mole.

My apologies for this lengthy post!

Thanks for showing me the island. A friend of mine lived there for several years but I stupidly failed to visit.

This is an impressive good set of pictures. Usually I have a few stand out pictures even in a good set. But here? It is a great picture after great picture.

Thank you for sharing, enjoyed it!

Beautiful glimpse of this photogenic island. Some really great photos here, and of particular appeal to me ##6, 7, 9, 12, 15, 16, and 22.
Nice to be able to see it via this themed thread.

Thank you all for your friendly comments.

These Frisian islands are very special for me (I have been to Ameland, Schiermonnikoog, Wangerooge, Amrun and Sylt). Time is slowing down there, you return home after four days on them, and it feels like you had been away for two weeks.
