Ah, that makes sense.
I opted not to get the Sony 200-600 because of its size also. The Tamron 150-500 was for a while the better option. |

That bar was getting higher at buying my first camera.🤣. I think that that is a quite common process ![]() On Flickr you can visit my album "La Loge". There all relevant pictures are and will be posted... |

![]() THX for the clarifycation, Fred! (or revealing the secret? ;) why the ![]() ![]() (still) Minolta 80-200 APO / 2.8 High Speed on this side. (haven't bought a single lens since the end of december! ![]() considered the 200 APO HS G prime as well, but think it w/b less versatile, as the 80-200 can generate incredible sharpness + lovely bokeh anyway. for now. they don't have to cost an arm and a leg? when lucky. actually trying to find the A-mount equivalent for -something like- Canon -excusez-le-mot- 200, f/2, i.e. ultimate blur. or would I want the 1.8 version of beloved 135mm -to almost 'eliminate' BGs-, that also weighs a ton, afaik, and costs a fortune? thought to have read once it doesn't weigh much? ;) (if I recall correctly?). but Harm wins! ![]() ![]() ![]() 2+ kilograms make me wonder what the 'sports' stands for. ![]() but CONGRATS! ![]() and TY! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The doorstep is not yet visible, but the white fronts of the house can be seen in the newest picture. Almost in the middle of that one you see two white fronts. That's the house🥰. But also the one with the blue 2CV shows our holiday home.
And why I put the😚 with the sorry? I guess we must have met in one or another DM? Edited by Harm vb - 14 January 2024 at 11:46 |

![]() ![]() ![]() My last case of GAS was May 2022 when I purchased the Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD. This lens may have actually cured this very serious disease! It made me question why I purchased all those other lenses when most of the time this one is all I need as a non-professional photographer. Or so it seems! ![]() Oh, oh! I've recently been looking at the Tamron 20-40mm f/2.8 Di III VXD as an alternative to the 16-35 ZA! I don't feel so good -- maybe the disease is returning? ![]() |

![]() Personally, when I know what my subject and the conditions are, I might use one of my Zeiss Batis prime lenses. At least locally where it's easier to transport more than one lens. |

I see it as more of a confession/support group category of thread ![]() I'm coming up to 6 months (1 Feb) with no new lenses, which is not as good as my previous best of 22 months. But I think I have another long run ahead of me. Despite a few tweaks since the full move to the E-mount, my lens set has been very stable. Edited by Wētāpunga - 16 January 2024 at 01:50 |
