Thanks to all for participating !!!
Huh, I was very sceptical about the quality of entries in our DPC, and I almost decided to give up in the past. Oh, how right brettania was to keep it going. We have excellent images and I'm not speaking only about the finalist !!
I was thinking of skipping the voting this time, since all finalist are just great shoots. But, it would be unfair from my part so ..

Silver Fall - 3 points
This is one I have spent most time looking at it. I like both the composition and the way it was processed. A great image IMHO.

Here in my head – 1 point.
I just love images that are made from "nothing" and this one is a nice example of photographers eye.

Once again, congrats to all finalist. All images are worth being the winner !!

Yes, I understand your point and the admin group is aware of this. In fact, we have tried a new selection process this time, giving the right to select the finalist to former DPC winners.
Not a perfect solution, but at least we tried something new (prior this round finalist were selected by admins only).
I hope, we will be able to provide a new system with the introduction of a new, dedicated DPC application (I hope it will be online this year). Until then we must use what we have now.

3 points to "Beauty in Sweden"
Way to show us how to break the rules. The huge black space forces your eye to the beautiful woman. You feel like she is just leaning in to take a peek back at you.
1 point to "The Magic Forest"
I almost didn't vote for this one for 1 major reason. I want to see it as a color photograph. It is sort of spoiling it for me. However, on the positive side, it is very mysterious, and the light and fog are great!
Thanks to all who participated, the quality of images seems to be going in the right direction :)
