When I headed out today, I had clear idea what would be the perfect subject for a multicolour picture: small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae). I had encountered plenty of these recently, but today I didn't find as many as previous days and after reviewing my shots from today I ended up preferring other subject with colourful background. But here is still today's best butterfly photo:

Small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae)

Day 5 Blue/violet out-take of the same subject but a slightly wider view and with the inclusion of the Bialetti Moka pot. Had a hard time deciding which one (again) but in the end the entry was the 'purer' in all blue, and I preferred its shallower DOF.

Yesterday was another hot day, thus I thought I'll skip going for a photo walk in the heat of the day despite that I probably could find some nice blue flowers to photograph. So, what other blue subjects I can think of? Ok, there is blue skies that I can even shoot from open window or from balcony (and that was eventually my final choice for the day). Then I got another idea: the blue hour! Only problem with that is the fact that this time of year in these latitudes, the evening blue hour takes place at 23:33-00:21 (and the morning blue hour is 02:28-3:15). But what the heck, I did decide to take a shot on that idea, at least it will be slightly cooler outside in the late evening.

Attempt #1:
At 23:34 sky is still way too pale for my taste, but at least the "Stoa" sculpture is as blue as it is always

α7R IV + Sony FE 1.4/24 GM @ 24 mm, f/4, 1/80 s, ISO 3200

Ok, let's move to another location...

Not better, there is even some sunset colours near the horizon!

α7R IV + Sony FE 1.4/24 GM @ 24 mm, f/4, 1/80 s, ISO 2000

Then I got little side tracked since I found an interesting photo subject, although since I had taken only a very light kit of small primes I didn't quite get the results I would have liked with the longest focal length I was carrying...

Young common gull

α7R IV + CZ FE 1,8/55 @ 55 mm, f/1.8, 1/80 s, ISO 1250

I finally fed up with bird photography with too short focal length and headed home and close to the midnight got slightly more blueish sky (although I think in these two last pictures WB is little off, but I don't like to do serious photo editing at this hour):

Swimming hall parking lot

Day 6 Red/orange out-take. Same subject but taken from straight behind rather than obliquely.
