However, based on current development priorities, I do not expect that we will support the A900 model in the near future. I am sorry we cannot meet your current need, but if/when there is any news about the A900 camera, I will be sure to let you know. I could be wrong, it's been a while but I think at first they did support the a900 but they required you to ship the cameras to them and it turned out to be too much of a burden.

Well neither the D3X or D3 is supported so im not sure we should feel all that left out.
Besides their split/prism is a matter of preference, not everyone think its a aid. I used it on the D2X, but reverted back to the original focusing screen. |

Best regards, Rachael Katz KatzEyeT Optics Tel. +1.413.743.2523 Fax +1.888.251.5477 www.katzeyeoptics.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ WOW. I got this same form letter when I asked if they could help me with my A-100. Only difference was that she wrote A100 where she had put A900 in your letter. Yes they are a little bit high on them self's. So I went to Haoda, who gave me the run around for 6 weeks, and when I got it, it was extremely off center, and hard to see what was going on in the focusing area. Over all cost lost $80.00++ So I went to my local camera store, and the rep dug out an old "Nikon-FE" screen for a full frame, $20.00. I cut it to size popped it in the camera, and lord and behold, it worked, and it was CENTERED. For quality, it blows the Haoda $80.00 piece of junk away. Recommendation,,, Go to focusingscreens.com, they cover almost all the A-mounts, and offer the widest selection of types of screens, most go for half the cost of a Haoda, and/or a quarter of the price of a Katzeye. If you really want a Katzeye, buy the largest FF they offer, and re-shape it to fit the 900. Edited by 4GibMe - 17 May 2010 at 06:09 |

No, but buy the time you have read this I will have looked into it. Thanks for the info. Regarding focusingscreens.com not supporting the A900, not good, but if one contacted them they might be willing to help. Off to brightscreens.com |

Thank you sir. Not saying their screens work or don't work. But I find the cost of their screens to be very high, without any explanation to why they are so costly. From the link you provided, it is said he has to open the lens wide open, which is normal. As for the Katzeye, they claim it can go up to F8, and even higher, depending on the lens. What I am looking for now, is the answer to why they are so costly, and the Bright Screen site(s) are no help with their limited info. But I will look into it further. |

Dig a bit deeper into that Sony forum; there is at least one older discussion that may help clarify.
